Cookie Lady

Hello all. I am a new owner of a 2001 V70XC AWD. I bought the car against my husbands wishes. Stubborn as I am, I didn't listen to him and think maybe I made a mistake. First of all it has 146,000 miles, which I know isn't an awful lot for a Volvo. The problem is, the car sat for four months without being driven. I paid $6500 in a private party sale. Two days after I picked it up, it broke down and had to be towed to the shop. New alternator cost me $700. While it was at the shop I had my mechanic check it over and found the catalytic converter was bad (check engine light was on). Also the brakes need to be replaced at some point. Mechanic says they are rusted from sitting so long. Even with these repairs I think I will still be within the Edmunds value. I think I will probably need help from you members as I am finding out this model is probably the worst ever put out by Volvo. I'll be posting for help in the near future. PLEASE STICK WITH ME....
