My daily ride for several years was my C5 Corvette, but now I drive my 850 5spd wagon everyday. It will take a while to get it to handle a little like the C5, but I am working on it.

My daily drive is a 1991 240 5 speed. My dad drove it since the mid 90's -- 05'. It was given to me after it sitting for a little over a year and a half and also one and a half good northern New Hampshire winters. all i did was put a new battery in it and it literally started on the first go! no rust, no nothing; aside from the paint being a bit faded from just sitting there. The only thing that's wrong with it now is that it tracks to the right (although the alignment is somehow good) and that the clutch is finally showing signs of ware.. From what I have been told it is the original clutch. There is slightly under 218k miles on it and still young! I couldn't have asked for a better first car.

I was, and occasionally am, driving a 94 Jeep Cherokee, 140 six,5spd, 4x4. My wife is on a business trip in our 98 volvo v70 wagon. Bought it used on e-bay in December. Runs like a swedish watch! Only has a bit over 130k miles on it. It is great little car. I also have a 1974 164e that I've been in the process of restoring for about 3 years.

Default I Drive My Brick

Hello to all

I have a 1994 Volvo 850 Estate, aptly named, The Anvil.

The pic above is before I painted the bumpers and trim and I'll post pic's here when I get the guards painted and the Side Markers on and lit.

I have replaced the factory deck with a Pioneer DEH3900MP(under the laptop) and, as you can see, an Acer Aspire 3100 laptop for Entertainment and Navigation.

It's been a long road to get to here, and I have a ways to go, but I'm "enjoying the ride" and I have begun to touch things up here and there.

I sprayed the bumpers and trim to bring them back from the faded gray to black and I have to say for my first time, spraying any car that wasn't going into a derby, it looks soooo much better ;-]

I am a car nut and I am learning a lot about The Anvil every day and I plan on keeping it for some time to come. Not just because I put a lot of $$$$ into it, but because the car is a great ride and there are a number of things that I can do myself without too much trouble. Get to save $$$$ that way

Back soon with a little more info and pic's but in the mean time, here is a link to the process that I went through to paint the car. Yep, I missed a couple of spots and I'll get them when I do the guards.

Later ;-]
