autopilot

Hi everyone,

I hope somebody can help me with the following. I have a slight transmission oil leak and in order to top it up I need according to my Haynes manual a special type of Volvo transmission oil. I have spoken to the Volvo dealer and they only sell this in containers of 4 liters, although 1 liter would be more than enough.

I am wondering if somebody can tell me if I can therefore use a different type of transmission oil that is more widely available. My car is a Volvo 440 (1998 cc/manual/petrol).

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
