Default Timing Belt Questions

Hey All,

I am new to the forum, and also to my most recent buy...a sweet 940 wagon. I am working out the kinks to make her as close to 100 percent as possible. I have almost everything done, but I am concerned about lack of sticker showing the last timing belt done to it. Hence...my question.

Quite honestly I am hesitant to pay out the money to have this work done when there is a strong chance that I can pull the job off myself. In fact, I am the type to prefer to have the experience under my belt. However I am afraid of messing it up, and want to hear feedback from others who have undertaken the task for the the first time, and what they found to be the biggest challenges of the job. Any tips that could be passed on would also be most appreciated. I am excited to have this car, and want to have the best experience with it.

Thanks in advance for all replies!

Michael

Default Dont worry

Helo Michael

Volvo recomended that repalce the timing bell each 60000km or 35000 miles in that case you could use a Bosch that is similar for many models of volvo with engine model B230.
