Default 1990 Volvo 740 Turbo Wagon

Hello Everyone,

Just joined this VolvoForum.com this morning.

Was wondering if anyone knows what a modulator throttle is. A "street" mechanic told me that this is the reason my station wagon is not turning on. I did have some problems with the car shutting off, but thought it was the type of gas I was using. At this time, the car does not turn on and is stationed at a garage. Any ideas?

Welcome Cash! Bookmark the site and keep coming back! I don't see the kind of gas you run causing the car not to run. It would be rare chance you had bad gas and after you ran it out and refueled the problem wouldn't persist. How did the mechanic determine this to be the issue? Do you know if he pulled codes that indicate this is the issue?

Thanks

I had a similar problem with my 85' 740 turbo wagon at first i thought it was a fuel problem but it turns out the wiring harness had corroded away. you might try checking to see if that is the problem.
