Default 2003 XC 90 Rear hatch release problem
The key fob works but it doesn't always release the trunk. It seems to have a mind of its own, and there doesn't seem to be any emergency trunk release.

Do you have more than 1 key fob and are you exeriencing the same issue with both?

Somewhere. we are looking for it. But the trunk doesnt always unlock from the car own locks..

That sounds like it could be a solenoid issue.

where would the solonoid be to fix or replace. is there an emergeny latch for the trunk from the inside? there is a place for a handle would it be behind it...
