i am a new owner of a xc90 why is there so much brake dust? my rims look like s--t right AFTER I CLEAN THEM. They collect tons of dust does anyone have this ? if so maybe you can sugest a brake dust or wheel cleaner that wont harm the rims THANK YOU...........

Hi Jokr,
I have the same problem. I believe everyone does and I am not sure that there is a solution. I use either Meguire, Turtle Wax, or Eagle One to remove. When run out of these products, I use soap and water with some elbow grease to get them clean. You'll get used to it.

You might want to see if there are ceramic pads, I understand that these don't kick off brake dust.

Volvos are safe cars with great brakes. A side effect of those brakes is they break down quickly which leads to lots of dust and their replacement after about 20-30 miles. High performance usually leads to increased maintenance.
