We have a 2015.5 Volvo V60, and are having difficulty in obtaining the complimentary maintenance promised to us. We have no local Volvo dealership in our area. We bought this vehicle online through a dealership in Columbus Ohio. The nearest dealership to us is in Kalamazoo, Michigan, an hour's drive from our home. We scheduled maintenance at the Maple Hill Volvo dealership, which had performed the maintenance for us during our first year. The first time, we were able to obtain the complimentary maintenance with minimal difficulty. However, a year later, after driving an hour to the appointment, the maintenance was refused, because there were not enough miles on the car. Why they didn't inform us of this prior to our appointment remains a mystery to me. Also, when inspecting our vehicle, the service director messed up our computer somehow, and various warnings were flashed on the vehicle's dash throughout the trip home. Obviously, we are going to return to have them fix the problem that they caused. But since they are so anxious to refuse to provide the promised services, should we be getting the oil changed at a local maintenance shop and pay for it ourselves? How long is it OK to wait between oil changes, especially when we put such low mileage on this vehicle?
