Looking at a 2001 S80 T6 Exec Twin Turbo, full 'luxury interior', 106K miles. One owner, dealer serviced.

Whats a good price for this?

What kind of things should I look at in terms of mechanical issues? Other?

I would check a carfax report on it. Also, to get a benchmark on price you can check Kelly Blue Book, I think its kbb.com online and ebay to see what the asking ranges are for this car.

My concerns are that there are hidden things about certain models you don't find out until after you buy them...

I understand, for instance, that the 960 series are ones you want to stay away from (lots of mechanical gremlins), or like with the Saabs (I own 2 9-5's) that you want to stay away from the early 9-5 V6's....

I would probably ask if the timing belt service has been done, it's due at 105k and is not a cheap maintenance service.
