The size on my factory 16' rims are 205 55 16 on my '01 S60 2.4t
Anyone ever try a 215 55 16??? I need new skins and found a great deal on the 215 size. I know there is a problem with the 205's rubbing although Ive never heard it. Im wondering what my chances are. |

Changing from a 205 to a 215 is only 10mm - not much. Check the actual measurements of the tire from the manufacturer's specs. You'll be surprized how much variance there is actual size from one make to another.
A larger tire may rub (usually the front at full steering lock), will give slightly higher ride height and will minimally affect the gearing (speed will be higher than indicated).
