Hello,

Does anyone know if you need special tools to change the brake pads & front rotors on a S60 2.5T AWD?

Have you ever changed brake pads and rotors before? A DIY can tackle the job, but you will need to have a set of mechanic tools. I can give you some advice, but wanted to see if you have done a job like this before.

I'm not doing it myself, I'm having someone do it for me. I was just making sure there wasn't any special tools he would need to do the job.

A normal set of shop/mechanic tools are needed. I selection of metric sockets/wrenches, large channel locks, bleeder tools, etc. A Do it yourselfer can handle it.

for a brake job? you need a 7mm alan key, a 13 or 14 mm wrench, channel locks, and a flat screw driver. and take note on how the caliper spring goes back on.
