I have a 69 145. The rear bushings on my lower trailing arms are shot. I bought new bushings but everyone here wants a fortune to press in new bushings. I've got some spare trailing arms so I'm OK, or so I thought (thinking has never gotten me far). Now the car's apart and the spare trailing arms are about an inch longer from the front mount to the axle mount than the old ones. I have noticed that my wheels seem too far forward. I can't use the spare lower arms unless I get longer upper arms (torsion bars?), so ...

Which years and models of 140's had longer lower or upper arms?

Did the arms have to match the rear end? (who knows what year rear end I have)

Does anyone know how to replace the rear bushings without a shop?

Thanks

Stephen

The difference between theory and practice is that in theory there is no difference between theory and practice, but in practice there is.
