I have not had any further issues. I am in the process of changing the fuel filter right now. The lines were on so tight I had to destroy the old filter to get them off. I did blow through it and it seems to be fairly clear. I'm not sure the last time it was changed, but hopefully this does help a little.
1985 Volvo 740 GLE stall
I was cruising down I-25 the other day and my car started feeling like it was running out of gas. I pulled over and the engine sputtered and died. It would fire up, but would not keep running. I thought I might be out of gas so I got some and when i put the new gas in the car started right up. It had been about fifteen minutes since I pulled over. When I filled up the rest of the way it only took half a tank. My fuel level is estimated on the mileage of my trip set. I had been going about 80 at the time and have not had any problems since. Anyone have any idea what this could be? My guess would be a fuel pump maybe, but which one is it? I know these things have two of them. It's also a non-turbo.
