So my cross country tranny is in bad shape. slippling real bad, revving, surging, etc... I'm surprised to not see more posts on here about the issue. My car is in perfect shape, shiny, no dents, leather prefect. I cannot just scrap the car but i cannot spend $5000 on a new transmission. Anyone have any suggestions? Rebuild? etc...

BTW...took it to the dealer in cincy and he tried to reset the computer but the codes kept coming up that the transmission is bad??? I find that hard to believe. I did some research, minimal, and found that it seems to be an issue and that there are some fixes.

anyone on here know anything about fixes?

I just bought today a 2002 V70 XC crosscountry with Transmission issue, I think I can deal with Tranny, a while ago I solved my 2002 VW GTI transmission issue where dealers and mechanics failed me, my no.1 suspect on tranny is valve body and TCM, the next culprit would be internal parts in transmission itself.
I will post more once I get the car.
