MY CAR STARTED FINE AT FIRST. I turned my car off and then i started working on my brakes and left my key in my ignition completely on , like you would when you at first start the car to get fuel into the injectors. I didn't notice for about 45 minutes and when I did I tried to start it but it would not start. is there a possibility that I flooded it out? and should it start after awile?

Virg is right. Leaving the key on will not run the fuel pump (except for the 1 second prime it should always do) but it will put power to the ignition.

There's a chance it could have overheated the points, or shorted the condenser. It's part of a standard tune up anyways so you should be chnaging them. If you've got an old tune up kit with a Dwell meter, now's the time to use it.
