I have a 1987 740 turbo, that stalls right about when it warms up. If I wait a few minutes it usually starts right up. I heard that it might be the distributor, and replaced all the gaskets on the distributor, but I still have the same problem.

I figure that either the rebuild was no good, or the halls sensor is failing. or ?? I'm not familiar with the halls sensor, I'm wondering if it could be a weak solder joint, or wire, or some other component.

Any suggestions on how to chase this rabbit?
