85 244 fuel problem

I have an 85 244 that I am having a problem with, it died and when i started to troubleshoot it I immediately noticed that the fuel pumps were not running when I turned the ignition on, so having worked on it before I went straight to the FPR I pulled the plug and jumped terminals 30 and 87/2 still no fuel pumps, so then i went and jumped fuses 4 and 6 and the fuel pumps ran fine. I have battery voltage on terminal 30 until I try to jump it to 87/2 then it goes away, 87/2 has continuity to ground 0.7 ohms anyone ever had a problem like this before or anyone have any ideas what my problem maybe ....thanks !
