hi, i'm new here.
i've been told since my heater fan only works on high speed, that the resistor for the fan control is bad. can someone tell me where to find it and how to determine if it's bad? thanks in advance for any help.

There is a resistor pack under the dash next to the blower motor. Eventually the blower will probably stop all together. It will probably run $100+/- .

Try looking on eeuroparts.com, $65 or $136 depending on whether or not you have electronic climate control.

sulley,
Thanks for the reply. My mistake, I should have given a couple of details.
This a 94 850 wagon, standard a/c, not climate control. I have a new resistor,
(Volvo p/n 9139737) I have the glove box out, and I can not find any thing that looks like the part I have. I see 3 relays or switches near the blower, but the only one that even resembles the replacement seems to have a different plug and also looks like it requires major surgury for extraction.
Thank you,
Jim
