In attempting to replace the head gasket, I discovered deep pitting on the head in several places very close to the cylinder walls. In looking for a better head to replace it with, I couldn't find any 940's with the same engine at the u-pull it. Since it's a 93 940 b230f inline 4 with a block distributor, should I look for a late model 740 (or 240?) for compatibility? Most 740's I've seen have the distributor at the rear of the head.
