I have a 1996 Volvo 850 wagon that when my daughter hit a bump she heard a funny noise from the rear, and when she got home I realized the right rear corner of the car was down. When I jacked up the car I saw that the spring had come off its perch and was cockeyed, the only reason if didn't fall off was that the fuel filler pipe was in the way. We placed the spring back in its perch ,but now the car makes a real funny noise from that area when you hit a bump in the road. The noise is like the spring is uncoiling (boing) for lack of a better term.Any ideas this noise is driving me crazy.
