I have a Volvo 960 (the best car of all), made in 1991.

some time ago I had a reair on the motor, and since then this motor does not co-operate with the camshaft-sensor. Since the motor runs without I used the car for some time but now I want to have this problem fixed.

The "specialists" in the Volvo workshop, first of all declared this sensor to be defective, and repaced it. But this did not bring any change.

I think of one possibility: Is it possible that both crankshafts were installed the wrong way, i.e. that one to control the exhaust valves at the inlet, and vice versa? Can this case the sensor signal to occur in a wring time during running of the motor?

Or is there any chance for a different malfunction of this sensor?
