Hello- I'm a proud new owner of a Volvo. It has a turbo, and about 140K miles. When cold it runs very strong. As it warms up it cruises OK but heavier throttle causes it to start cutting out, and heavier throttle shuts it off. Could a plugged fuel filter cause this? Seems like when cold it would do it also with plugged filter. Or maybe the fuel pump starts acting up when warm?

Found the problem after more web research- it's from too much boost. The fuel is cut off at 15psi. Somebody had disconnected the line to the wastegate diaphram and put another hose on the spot. Found a page from a parts book and found the hose disconnected. Change the hoses and it works fine now. I think I'll install a boost gage.
