I have been getting HORRIBLE mpg lately. I never got descent mileage with the car. Best I ever got was about 21mpg hwy. Currently I'm getting about 15-16mpg around the city!
I'm about to go on a road trip and want to check EVERYTHING I can. So here's what I've done:
New copper plugs at .028", K&N AF, new fuel filter, new ignition wires, new cap & rotor, new sway bar links, new front struts, alignment, new vacuum tree and hoses, replaced entire PCV system, (kit from fcpgroton) (seemed to lose ~2 Mpg after that one) Replaced Mass Airflow Sensor (used).
I was told by someone to check my fuel pressure regulator, (located by the rear wheel) Upon doing so, I found there was no vacuum present at the vacuum connection there while the car was at idle. I understand there's supposed to be vacuum there but I am not sure. The vacuum line runs to the front of the car and connects to the charcoal canister.
I know I have a bad ignition coil as it shows blue sparks at night. I didn't think that would cause such drastic fuel loss, though.
My check engine light is not on.
