Hi guys I just bought a used 2000 volvo s80 and the guy I bought it from said the only thing wrong is that the ABS module needs to be replaced. Now my question is, is this an easy thing to do myself? I've never done anything like this before. and how much would this be to get a new one?

also while I wanted to get new floor mats as well, any suggestions?

Thanks so much

Its fairly easy to remove. Drivers side near the bottom of the ABS pump. Black box. you will need a 5/32 socket to remove the 4 long screws. disconnect the harness. you can still drive the car until you get it rebuilt or replaced. if you know anyone that is good with soldering, it wont cost you anything. google it and you will find pics and instructions on how to do it. check 850 abs module repair. basically the same. if that's too much, find a rebuilt one on ebay. They suffer from solder fatigue/cold solder. You may need to get the codes reset after replacement
