Something is draining my battery when I leave my 1995 Volvo 850 Turbo w/o running it for 3-4 days.
My mechanic has checked the battery: fine
Alternator has checked out fine-the battery is charging.
I have disabled the glove box light as I read this is a common source of battery draw with older volvos.
We thought it could be traced to the central locking system, replaced the central lock system and found out a week later it still drains.
Actually, I just found out the draw is 200 mA. It is not constant.
The car has always had strange electrical things that seem to pop up randomly from the light bulb indicator coming on when the break lights are fine, seat belt lights coming on mid trip when both belts are buckled, etc.
I drove the car yesterday and the radio lcd went blank for about 2 seconds and then came back on. I did not have to re-enter the security code and it has been fine since.
Anyone have any ideas as to what the source of the draw may be? Thanks.
