Hi. I have a 97 850 GLT with 150,00 miles. It's a great car, but I'm now having to drive more and gas prices aren't being friendly. I have newer plugs and keep up on the maintenance. The car gets a very consistent 23mpg. That's not bad, but I need to up it if I can. Anybody have a good fix?

Wow. Is that the reading off of the trip computer or are you keeping track of it manually? You need to check it manually as the readings in the car are not precise. My 850 and V70 both read 2-3 mpg higher than I'm actually getting. I get 31 combined with my 850 T5 when I'm driving it as a commuter, and I am not a light-foot. Even just driving around town, worst case, it's still about 25-26 combined. Just to clarify, it's always been 23?

Being a 97 GLT it's a LPT car right? Seems like the mileage wouldn't be that different. Mine has dropped off a little during these colder months, and my turbo is toast, but I'm expecting to jump back up into the 30's as soon as my new turbo is in and it warms up a little. Hmmm...
