I have bought a v70 on an 02 plate- it has a problem with the clutch slipping in 3rd gear when it has a foot full before we go ahead the clutch erplacement has anybody any other ideas that we could try?

No, that sounds exactly like a worn clutch. It's got a hydraulic clutch so there's nothing to adjust.

It will be a big job with most of the money going into labour so make sure you budget for all the parts deep inside - not just the clutch plate. You don't want to pay go in there again.

Clutch, pressure plate, release bearing/slave cylinder should all be changed.
