Hi folks, would anyone here know the lowest ratio diff available from the 740 940 range. I need to replace the axle in my old rover coupe as parts are no longer available and having been a Volvo fan for years and had 7 940's I know they are good reliable units to use. I'm not entirely sure the overall sizes would be suitable so maybe someone would have the dimensions as well.

373 or 410. 240's could have a 354(3 speed auto), 373, 410 and possibly others. Don't know the dimensions.. Axles are made by Dana in the USA.

I can't believe there's an English car you can't find parts for. They have support for almost everything. Rather than a major, non-original swap, dig a bit deeper.

Doesn't the Rover P5 have a Salisbury differential? It's the same as Range Rover?
