Does V70 D5 have rev limiter over-rev protection?

I have been overseas for a while and asked my wife to start my V70 D5. Unfortunately she had her foot flat on the gas for about ten seconds judging by the screaming I could hear down the phone line.... all that on a stone cold engine that had been idle for two months. Sometimes you want to cry....

Does the D5 have any rev limiter/protection that would come into play in a situation like this? The car was in Park.

Thoughts? Should I be worried because I am cr*apping myself. The car is idling fine and no lights have lit up on the dashboard, but I am worried about unseen damage that could come into play in time.
