Finally -- A Volvo

I've just bought my first Volvo, after decades of admiring from afar. Its a 1994 Volvo 940 wagon, with the non-turbo motor. Big enough to cart my tools around, even to live in, if the world implodes. And so, here's my first puzzle: The car needs a new steering rack, but two types were possible, on this model: A Cam type (TRW), and a Koyo type. Is there a way, before ripping the old one out, to identify which type my 940 has?
Any underhood tags or markings? Tips gratefully accepted.
