Going downhill the revs sometimes exceed some limit and the message comes up on the dash saying that one should check the engine. Problem is that the retarder is disabled until you switch the engine off and restart it before the retarder works again. This is a very stupid arrangement as it is exactly when you will need the retarder most. Is there a way to cancel the function or disable the computer or make the retarder manual with a switch so that the engine computer cannot switch it off?
