hard starting

hello new to this site. i bought a 1990 740 turbo with 182k the car run great. but after running for a while and i cut it off,it's hard to start cranking along time before starting. there no check engine light. it has been sittting for awhile. and the odometer don't work and ideas as to what cause the hard start.
