Hiya and thought I would follow the format and introduce myself. I am a middle aged father of 3 and step dad to two others so life is hormone hell and have a need for a good taxi !!

Just brought a 04 V40 1.9 Turbo diesel and must admit I am very pleased with it on many scores. The previous owner had a dog and a family and so the car looks abit tired inside so looking at improving some of the bits around the car.

How is that 1.9 on fuel. My 2.4 gas motor averages around 26 mpg. My guess is that your's does a lot better than that!

Hi David,

The fuel economy is brilliant ... average of 55mpg but on longer runs it just goes for miles and miles .. showing 65 upwards on the computer.
