Hey all-

I'm hoping to move up from my second 1995 850 to a 2000 S70 GLT SE. I'm looking at one nearby that has 90,000 miles on it and seems to be in a nearly flawless visual condition. I'm test-driving it tomorrow, but they only want $3995 for it. This seems to be quite a bit lower than edmunds suggests. It's on a dealer's lot that claims to sell for wholesale prices. I was thinking of offering $3500 if it checks out.

The 850's have been good to me. In fact, probably one of the best used cars I'll ever own. It's just time to move up!

Thanks for the future suggestions.

Hey:
Have you used the VIN to pull a carfax on the vehicle? Might or might not shed light on circumstances. Do they have the service records? Was it bought at wholesale auction? that should be on Carfax. Also, spend a $150 with your mchanic to go over it. Money well spent.

Hi Sulley:
Wife was totaled in her 97 S90. Loved the vehicle. 257K at toatl. Not her fault. Got money. Could not locate a local s90 or 960. Bought a 2002 s602.4T from second owner. I took today off for title/registration transfer. Noticed that the battery ws weak. tested battery and promptly replaced. The problem is that the A/C blows ice cold for 5 minutes and then blows hot. Low on refrigerat? Leak? I can't even get the valve cap off to recharge. It seems simple, but I can find no instruction manuals (Haynes / Chiltons) for this car. Besides this problem, no others. Mechanis who serviced it is local. I just want to try a quick recharge and see how long it lasts before I do anything else. This is my 9th Volvo. They work.
Any advice will be adhered to and greatley appreciated.

Thanks to everyone in the community. Great group.

Regards,
Toddio
