My alternator has gone on my 2008 V50 2.0 diesel .I have undo 3 of the bolts that hold the alternator on but the 4th one is a bugger,Looking at it it seams to have a small maetal sheild thing with an allen bolt in Does that have to be removed so the alternator will be free.? ( is it some kind of tensioner ). There is only one way out for the alternator once removed it has to come out from the top ,But above that is the diesel filter and casing .This obviously has to be removed ?
How do i remove this ? It seams to have a slot where a plastic sleeve slides in ,it is loose but i dont want to force it .
Once this is out of the way the alternator can come out (Hopefully).

I would be grateful for any help with this .
