Can anyone help? I just got a second hand V50, and lowered the back seats to admire the load space. Trouble was the bigger side won't go back up, having looked at it, it appears that when you try to pull the seat up the middle belt has to elongate slightly as it is embeded in the seat and the tensioner seems to have kicked in and hence won't let the seat up. If that all makes sense. That's what it looks like to me.

Has anyone else had this ? Is there an easy way to fix it ? Am I doing something stupid ? Have I missed diagnosed ?

I've had a fiddle with the middle seat belt to loosen it and there seems to be little slack when down and then it just tightens when you try to extend it any.

Can I just loosen the fixing point at the bottom of the seat belt to get the seat up, and will it just screw back in ?

You might try taking the anchor bolt loose and then the seatbelt will have enough slack to get the tongue out of the latch.

yeas you can adjust the screw at the back. i think this is enough
