I am looking to purchase my first Volvo. Considering a 2004 or 2005 XC70.

My First question is does the 2.5T require premium gas or will it operate on regular gas?

Secondly since this is my first time looking at a Volvo is there anything that I should be looking for specifically when shopping for a used 2004 or 2005 XC70

Finally what kind of mileage does this car get typcally.

I purchased a 1999 v 70 xc awd new in 99. Had an oil leak at 20000 miles. Took to 2 different dealers over 20 times. The never fixed the leak. Contacted Volvo of North America in excess of 30 times, no satisfaction. Still have the auto &
I had to find & fix the leak.

The leak was the exhaust cam shaft front seal. Oil leaked down into the timing belt cover and on down to the lower part of the engine. 2 Indiana dealers kept "attempting to find" the leak, but I felt they were side stepping digging deep into the problem. Got to 50000 miles and they said it was not there problem. The people at Volvo of North America in New Jersey could not care less about the Volvo customer. They got me once but they will never get me again.

I own a 2002 XC70 and absolutely love it. With 88K miles, she runs just fabulous. The seats are great and love the baseball stitch in them. Lots of attention to details in this car, this being my second Volvo. Milage is about 21 around town and about 26 highway. Not had to do a thing to it since I bought it with 56K miles on the odo. You won't be sorry. Just use your own judgement when looking at used.
