After I drive through a puddle (and there are plenty here in Seattle), or occasionally while driving in slushy snow, my car starts to make a high pitched sound, that stops after a short time. No vibration, no change with speed change, no variation in the tone. It just starts and goes away mysteriously.
I've asked local Volvo specialty mechanics as well as the dealer and no one seems to know what it is. I've seen some references to it online, but nobody locally has heard of the problem or knows what causes it.
Theories? Fixes? Am I all alone with this one?
