I will be up front with you. I was a volvo tech for 25+ years when the franchise was sold.I did not like the opportunity to go to the new Volvo dealer so I stayed at the same place and became a Toyota Tech. Two years have passed and we are once again free to service Volvos because the "no compete" limitations have expired. The current Volvo dealer has struggled to establish an adequate service reputation and many of our old customers are returning with problems I struggle to remedy. I am hoping to tap this site for help. I would be happy to exchange my experience. I do not own a Volvo but I have to fix them. so, any help would be appreciated. With that, I will ask, a 2005 Volvo XC90 has hot restart problems. it cranks too long before it starts but it will start. There are no codes and it does not seem to lose residual fuel pressure. I removed the injector rail to check for a leaking injector but saw no obvious signs of leakage. This is as far as I was able to go because I only have access via a generic scan tool with limited data. Any one have any thoughts? Thanx a lot.

Are both fuel pumps running (assuming it has an in-tank and main pump) ? The car will run on the main only but would be hard to start without the in-tank primer.
