Just bought a 1999 S80 T6 with about 99000 miles on it. The previous owner had just bought a new 2008 and seemed to have been happy with the 1999.
Then did an internet search about the 1999. Wasn't real happy about all the negative comments and problems which have been posted about it.
Is it really that bad??? Hoping only the people with negative experience are the ones doing most of the posting.
Also tried to go to the volvotechinfo.com site to order a 'factory service' manual like I have for my 2000 Chevy Astro.
Apparently all manuals after about 1994 or 1998 can't remember which are now only on DVD or on line and one has to 'buy' a subscrition to get the materials...
I tried to follow the ordering info and found it less than what I would expect from what is supposed to be such a good car company.
Has anyone else ordered the DVD, etc and what specifically did you order. I don't see any reason to order the item which allows downloading of new software because I believe it has already been upgraded to the latest software by the two previous owners???? And I don't have the hardware to do it.
Saw a place in Britain on Ebay which supposedly would send a DVD with service/parts info but they never replied to my email asking about the info contained on the DVD.
Thanks for any feedback,
