Hello All,

Just want to say hello and introduce myself. My wife & I will soon be purchasing a CPO 2007 XC90 3.2AWD with Nav and the Entertainment package. We're very excited since we've wanted one from the first time we saw it.

I've been an Audi owner for a number of years and have trolled around those groups for many years. I also know about how helpful these groups can be and look forward to learning as much as I can.

A couple of questions I have off the bat:
1. Is there anything that we should watch for and make sure the Stealership takes care of before/soon after taking delivery?
2. I want to integrate an iPod/iPod touch in this truck. I haven't seen any integration kits for 2007 and newer. Does the truck have a USB port to plug it in?
3. We've been spoiled with having integrated Bluetooth and this model does not have it (probably one of the few things it doesn't have). How hard is it to purchase the kit and install it? I've seen it available on one site, but it's a little pricey. Do you have any recommended sites to purchase this from?
4. What about other aftermarket/factory parts? I know of a few places I can get Audi parts, but Volvos are new to me. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
5. Other than this site, are there other sites where I can join as well?

Thanks for the time and I look forward to hearing from fellow owners soon.

Hey Jersey John,
I am not that new to this site but I am still a newby.

1. I can't think of anything you should request or investigate prior to taking delivery of the vehicle. An administrator or some of the other owners are a better resource for information in that category. Personally, I didn't have any issues or at least, any that I can remember.

2. Integrating an iPod/iPod touch: You may be in a better position than I am with my truck. I use my truck for weekends and vacations. I purchased my ipod so that I could stop hauling around two completely filled 250 Leather CD Cases for week-end getaways and long distance trips. Unfortunately, the 2005 model doesn't have the ability to connect an ipod to the stereo. I tried FM Transmitters and it doesn't work. The entire trip ends up being a big frustrating moment struggling to hear favorite songs through the enormous amount of static surrounding every note being played. Since I have the entertainment system, I play my ipod through the aux connection when I am alone (which is rare). When I have the entire family, the kids are watching the ipod through the entertainment system and we are left with the radio and CDs in the front. I considered changing the stereo to a newer version, but the service unit price, installation of unit, and installation of software for entainment system is really expensive. I can't wait for a viable option. To my understanding, 2007 version has a direct connection. No usb port but a connection through the headphone port.

3. The bluetooth is extremely expensive. We have the Parrot Bluetooth Speaker box. It works very well. The clip doesn't fit the visor as well as I would like it to so you can look into other options such as Motorola. I haven't seen the factory version outside of the dealership.

4. Outside of the Volvo dealer, I use ebay and craigslist. Sometimes I see items cheaper online and other times I see cheaper prices at the dealer.

5. Another site is volvoforums.com but I like this one better (volvoforum.com{no s}).
