at the moment im driving a 2002 subaru impreza which i have spent over 7,000 in the 2 years ive owned it !! its just had a full rebuild and new turbocharger fitted with various other modifications and will be getting mapped to an expected 330+bhp ! the car is an animal and i love it to bits despite the pain its put me through
my plan is to enjoy it for a year or so and then sell for a decent price .
ive done alot of thinking about my next car and have decided to go for a turbocharged volvo . They seem to make so much sense to me , decent build quality , possible 4wd ? tuneable, sleeper looks and cheap insurance quotes
my goal is something as quick as possible but not sure whether i want fwd ? or 4wd ?
my knowledge on volvo is next to none as im used to flat fours, but really im after any kind of advice on what model you think i should go for ? and what modifications to make ? my budget should be in the region of 6,000 ?
what kind of power can volvos standard turbos produce ? and what kind of power can the gearbox and running gear handle ?
sorry for all the different questions !! but im really interested in learning a bit about them before i take the plunge and start a nice volvo project .
any advice is very much appretiated
