My username is muons because I work on the muon detector of the CMS experiment at the Large Hadron Collider in Geneva. I have owned a 1987 240 DL wagon for 18 years. Today I drained water out of the right headlamp and polished both headlamp lenses to remove the yellowed surface layer.
In 2008 I finally bought a new Volvo: a 2009 V50 T5 AWD wagon that I picked up at the factory in Gothenburg and drove to Geneva where I was living with my family to work on CMS. In 2010 I shipped the V50 to Davis where it is now my wife's commuter car. Davis used to be the haven of "soccer moms driving Volvo station wagons" but now they are more likely to drive a Prius. My other car is a 1974 TVR 2500M.
