New to the forum but long time Volvo owner.

Our 72 P1800e has been off the road in need of some underbody repairs. I've finally found someone to do it but they are 150 miles away. I have a tow dolly, but was wondering (a) if I would need to disconnect the drive shaft to tow without damage and if yes (b) how I would go about disconnecting it.

If you are wondering, I'd rather not load it backwards for safety issues (keeping the engine weight over the dolly axle really helps stability).

Thanks for the insight.

If it's manual shift, tow it in neutral. If auto; see the book.
