I'm looking for new front suspension parts for my '99 V70 XC AWD and found a seller on ebay, Deutsche Parts USA which has control arms and sway bar end links mfd by Hamburg-Technic of Germany. They claim these are actual OEM--not OEM style--and exceed OE specs. Their prices are great and free shipping, but I don't want to end up doing the job again in a year. Who are Volvo OEMs? How about Febi, Lemforder, MTC or APA as far as quality for suspension parts? Is Meyle the same as Scan-Tech? Heard nothing but bad about them. THANKS!

Hey steven and everyone else. I have heard several bad things about Hamburg Technic, amongst others, the name is deceptive and the parts are actually Chinese. But many complaints about this brand of part are associated with one Ebay seller Deutsche Parts USA.

I just dealt with him today and he is the nastiest verbally aggressive "business man" I've ever dealt with in 30 years of business. His ad for control arms DID NOT state that there are TWO configurations for the v70. To the contrary, his ad stated that the part WOULD FIT my 99 v70xc.

He said, "If you were a real man, you'd accept resposibility for your mistake. Everybody else who makes this mistake has to pay for it."

If more than a few of my customers made a similar mistake, I'd check myself...but then...I'm not him; I'm smart and honest.

But good luck on Deutsche Parts
