Hi from Australia Guys,
im new to this forum. Ive looked through the forum trying to find a thread on what im looking for but was unsuccesfull. I found a few on other models but nothing specific on my v70 97' model.

I firstly am wondering if anyone knows any tricks on removing the standard headunit.

Secondly if its difficult to fit a single din aftermarket head unit...?
Pioneer 200 Watt MP3/CD Tuner - CD Tuners - JB Hi-Fi & if you have any tips?
I have fitted quite a few aftermarket head units to other cars like minis hondas holdens etc. except all in older cars and nothing that looks quite like this double din volvo.

Im guessing that i need an adaptor and ive found some like this...

Would i be correct in assuming this pioneer head unit will fit in and ill just need to install this single din tray from ebay underneath to fill in the hole left from the double din standard head unit??

Much appreciated Gentlemen!
:)

i have a whole upgraded sound system in my 98 v70, i haven't really had any problems because the head unit i bought fit perfectly on top of the track where the old unit was and i put a dash spacer beneath it that was built specifically for my car. Im sure that there are a few websites in Australia that list the head units that fit your 97 v70.
