s40 2.0i 1996...its either starter motor wont work or driving along abs light comes on then speedo n revs counter stops working..engine misfires and loses power........it may start back up and be fine or as today wont go back to normal...please help..daz the newbie.......plus renewed brushes in both...if im driving the alternator takes over,so fading dash lights and warning lights come on,would that mean lack of power from alternator would it not...........................

full lights on and car misses ,put on sidelights and it picks up.........i have had brushes renewed in starter and alternator,please help me .....b4 i buy a imp...
