I just purchased a 99 s70 with 64 k on it and it drives great, we went from Philadelphia to NC with no problems. I was given 3 regular volvo keys a good fob and a busted up fob.The only thing that opens the car is the good fob, the keys will not open the doors. Is this normal? There is also this strange looking key that has 2 blades on it at a right angle to each other IDK if this even goes to this car but it was given to me with the car. any info is appreciated, I have read anything I could find about keys for this car and could not find the answer. I do not have the manual.
Thanks.

Replacing fob guts is expensive. Just replacing damaged shell/buttons is not. Volvo dealer replaced mine for reasonable $$. (98 S70 T-5). Replacing battery may be necessary. One of your keys may be valet key; will unlock driver door (two turns to unlock all doors) and ignition, but not locked trunk and glove box.
