Hi,
I was wondering if anyone on this forum has tried a universal oxygen sensor in their volvo. At a quarter of the price of a new one it might be worth a try.
I have a 2000 Volvo V70 XC wagon but would like to know about experiences with other models/years as well.
thanks,
Jay

There are a large number of universal oxygen sensors sold on the market. The general concensus seems to be that the universal ones do not seem to work all that well. I have heard more than one Volvo owner find that in particular with Volvo's they don't work all that well.

I recall a specific guy who had a 99 V70 and Bosch told him that the universal would not work on the front but would on the rear.

Good luck
