I hope you can find what you need in this 15meg PDF file.
Also, Haynes sells a manual that contains quite a bit of 850 info for about $17.
eBay is a source for several DVD based repair manuals that are reasonably priced.

I'm currently working on a way to scan my Hayne's Manual so that I can share it. I found it once on line but my system later crashed and I lost all of my Volvo links and could never find it again.

Gimme a week or so and I'll find a way to upload it somewhere.

I have an owners manual as I have never bought a car without one.

I'm looking more for a service/diagnostic manual on cd. And not the Vadis that's available from eBay. That is a burned copy of the original disc that the lad had bought back in the day and is now out of date.

And it seems that you also have to back date your system to run it properly .
